I was very excited to get this, and it was fairly easy to set up, even if the directions are not clear. The door that covers the display is made of plastic, not very sturdy, and the door piece is what you use to clip it on your clothing. I’m amazed it hasn’t broken, but so far is doing good….I was sure it would break but so far has not.
I never used the CD that came with it, so I cannot review that.
As far as the functions, it is very easy to see the readout and track your distance in kilometers, miles, and steps traveled.
My only real beef with this is the lack of distance traveled accuracy. Even on it’s least sensitive setting, it still adds 1/4 more distance then what I actually traveled. Oddly though, it measures steps correctly when walking on carpeting or on an elliptical. At the track and on cement, plan on shaving off 1/4 of your distance to be semi accurate.
If you want to be encouraged by an overzealous pedometer, go for it. It’s easy to use, and fairly comfortable.
If you want perfect accuracy, buy something else.

The pedometer is ok. I love the audio for a great, well paced 30 minute walk. I’m not a lunge fan, but it’s only a couple of minutes and it’s a great outdoor walk audio. If you hate the dance moves of the DVD’s that claim they “walk away weight”, get this, put on the pedometer and shoes and get out there!
I use it 2-3 times a week in rotation with other audios by Debbie and a Weight Watchers walking audio only available through Weight Watchers.

Simply put, mine keeps shutting off. It doesn’t really serve much purpose if you cannot rely on it. I wish I had saved the packaging so I could return it.

Walking is Free!

By: K. Dilworth

Walking has many health benefits and it does not cost a thing to do it. For your health and motivation, be determined to fit walking into your schedule even if you can't find the time to do anything else. However, first make sure you have a full physical and get permission from your doctor to engage in this activity. Also, for safety reasons, especially if you are a female, find a safe neighborhood, or a populated park to walk in where there are plenty of other people around. You can also form a walking club with your neighbors, or friends to make it fun. Make it a goal to be accountable to each other to walk at least three times a week. It's great exercise for your heart, can reduce stress, as well as lower your blood pressure, and help you lose weight if you walk consistently. We have included some of our favorite health gadgets on our website which you may find useful in your fitness endeavors. Most of all, just get out and walk. It's fun and it's free!

Next week, I'll share with you specifically why I started walking!
