Once you get everything set up this little power house is great! I love the ability to check my heart rate just by touching the front of the watch so I don’t have to wear the chest strap all the time. Its also great that the touch sensitive monitoring can be turned on and off so when I wear it as a regular watch its not trying to check my heart rate if I accidentally touch the front of it. This is a great tool for anyone interested in tracking their runs, workouts, walks, or whatever. If I can find a more petite version I will get it for my wife who needs to monitor her heart during the day because she will like the option of just touching the watch and not having to wear the chest band all day long when she only needs to check in every so often.

Overall I’m very satisfied with this watch. It’s a little bit complicated to use at first due to its tons of features and functionality but once you get it, it’s a great workout watch. It feels light and comfortable on your wrist. It shows all the critical data you’d like to see during workout without the need to go through multiple screens. One of it’s best features is the ability to use it as a heart monitor with or without the chest belt. You can also use it as a pedometer and it even calculates calories burnt. It’s a great all in one watch for the price, highly recommended to anyone into fitness. One feature they should include in the next version of this watch is the ability to wirelessly send your workout history to your computer. It captures your workout history for the last 7 days but can’t synch it up with your computer to send that data.

I use this product in spin classes, on the treadmill, etc, and have found that more often that not, it will stop giving me an accurate heart rate reading, instead indicating that my heartrate is 220 (meaning I’m more or less dead). I contacted Sportline to complain about this, and they said that that is a common problem caused by radio interference from electronic equipment (stereos, other heart rate monitors, etc.) that gets in the way of the watch communicating with the chest strap. So basically, this product cannot be relied upon to provide an accurate heart rate in the environment where you are most likely to want a heart rate reading.
I was disappointed both with the product and with Sportline’s response to my complaint. I would recommend a Polar watch instead. I have had much better luck with that brand.
